// Fish
Welcome to our pitch for "Fish Feeding Folks"!
This project is designed as a temporary online exhibit (based in winter months) to expand upon the “Seafaring Communities” portion of the “Fish & Folks” exhibit at the Reykjavik Maritime Museum. Visitors at the museum or at home can learn more about how local Icelandic fish are incorporated into traditional recipes. Visitors can click through our rows of featured recipe cards to see each recipe and the cultural heritage surrounding that recipe. Each card will be tagged (e.g., fish type, region, holiday) that will let visitors search for types of recipes per their preference. Additionally, visitors will be prompted to try these recipes at home and post them to either Instagram or Twitter with museum hashtags, including a caption on their experience interacting with the recipe. As tourism is typically closed in winter months, this can get potential visitors excited about Iceland before their visit and encourage more summer tourism.
